I'm afraid I am having trouble with launching it, when I click the button to launch it says that an error occured while launching and that no executables were found. Do you have any suggestions to get it to launch properly?

Hi! First of all, I love this game half to death. As soon as I found this bug I panicked. I'm playing Neils story and read through the whole story except the 28th chapter on the passionate route. When I try to click the continue button, the screen fades to white for a second and makes a sound but doesn't move onto the story. Am I missing something I need to do?
